James A. Patterson

James A. Patterson, 84, died Sept. 23, 2014, in Rogers. He was born on Sept. 6, 1930, in Yellville, Ark., to the late Richmond Thurman and Zella (Matlock) Patterson. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Caldwell) Ammons Patterson. Jim was an avid Razorback fan, who enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Rogers; sons, Doug Patterson (June) of Rogers and Keith Patterson of Bella Vista; daughters, Debbie Ammons of Rogers and Vickie Chambers of Harrison; brother, Ed Patterson (Connie) of Yellville, Ark.; sister, Shirley Batton of Granby, Mo.; grandchildren, Niki and Heather Chambers, Taylor Patterson, Jody Mealer, Bradley Rooney, Lacey Patterson, Stephanie Patterson, Natale Yates, Camry Mathis and Megan Larkin; three great-grandchildren, Lexis, Ashton and Auvi. Jim was preceded in death by his four siblings, Chet Patterson, Ray Dean Patterson, Pat Patterson and Lillian Walters. A funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Rollins Funeral Home chapel, with burial to follow at Rogers Cemetery.
