Marsha Dale Matthews

Marsha Dale Matthews, 63, of Elkins passed away on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, after her valiant fight with cancer. She was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Mountain Home, Ark., to the late Lovell and Ella Ferguson. Marsha was a member of the Johnson Church of Christ. She loved attending sporting events, playing the piano, gardening, cooking and especially spending time with her family. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of her family and friends gave her strength and courage. Marsha's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Buck Matthews of the home; daughter, Tennille Shofner and husband Trey; son, Taylor Tinsley and wife Amber; and granddaughters, Lakyn and London Shofner. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Beard's Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Beard's Chapel with Minister Jack English officiating.
