Eulus Eugene "Gene" Daniel

Eulus Eugene "Gene" Daniel, 89, was born on Jan. 19, 1925, in Fayetteville, Ark., a son of Elmer and Beulah Daniel. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. He was a professional truck driver and a member of the American Legion Post 1000. He is survived by his children, Linda Onstott and husband Duayne of Harrisburg, Neb., Sandra Onstott and husband Irwin of Springdale, Ark., Randy Daniel and wife Hope of Siloam Springs, Ark., Valerie Terry and husband Wayne of Fayetteville, Ark., and Cindy Pickney and husband James of Springdale, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Taylor and husband Jackie of Branson, Mo., and Doris McBride of Lowell, Ark.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Carol Daniel and a brother, Dean Daniel. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, AR 5:00pm-7:00pm on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Funeral will be held 2:00pm Monday, September 8, 2014 at the funeral home. The Rev. Ron Campbell will officiate the service. Burial with Military Honors to follow at the Baptist Ford Cemetery.
