Andrew Ernest Breuer

Andrew Ernest Breuer, 82, passed away Aug. 28, 2014, at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville after a long battle with leukemia. He was born Oct. 27, 1931, in Sperry, Iowa, the son of David F.H. and Martha Ludemann Breuer. Northwest Arkansas has been his residence since 1980. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Iowa. Memberships included the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, The Iowa Society of CPAs and the National Association of Accountants. He was a member of the Springdale First United Methodist Church and the Springdale Kiwanis Club. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55. Andy is survived by his wife, Marie Wheaton Breuer, to whom he was married Aug. 10, 1952. Other survivors include a daughter, Joyce Marie Jones and husband, Tim, of Amissville, Va.; a son, Steven Andrew Breuer of Plano, Texas; five brothers, Fred Breuer of Bloomington, Ill., James Breuer and wife, Ruth, of Bloomington, Ill., Richard Breuer and wife, Pat, of Columbus, Neb., Max Breuer and wife, Carol, of Portage, Mich., and Tom Breuer and wife, Carol, of Winchester, Mass.; nieces and nephews; also sisters-in-law, Bette Herbert and Marilyn Wheaton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5, 2014, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. A memorial service will be held at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville at 2 p.m. on Sept. 6, with the Rev. David Freeman officiating. Cremation will follow with interment at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Memorials may be made to the Butterfield Trail Village Foundation, 1923 E.
