John Wesley Taylor Sr. and Tharen 'Happy' Riggs Taylor

On Oct. 1, 2014, John Wesley Taylor Sr., 83, and his wife, Tharen "Happy" Riggs Taylor, 80, left this life and walked into eternity together to join their Savior Jesus Christ. They are survived by one daughter, Lawanna Taylor Whitfield and her husband, William, of Springdale, Ark.; one son, John Wesley Taylor Jr. and his wife, Janice, of Wake Forest, N.C. They have four grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor Whitfield of Bentonville, Ark., Anna Caroline Whitfield of Fayetteville, Ark., William Edward Whitfield IV of Springdale, Ark., and John Alexander Taylor of Raleigh, N.C. While there is great comfort in knowing John and Happy are in Heaven and will never suffer the pain and sorrow of living apart, they will be greatly missed by family and friends. Theirs was a love story to be emulated — for each other, for their family, for the Lord, the church, their community and their friends. They lived life to the fullest and leave behind a huge hole in our hearts; but they also leave a legacy of love, hard work, commitment to family and community, and faith in Jesus Christ.
