Buddy Gene Hollingsworth

Buddy Gene Hollingsworth, 72, of Sulphur City, Ark., died Sept. 30, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Delaney, Ark., to Lester and Ruth Hill Hollingsworth. Buddy was a heavy equipment operator for Sweetser Construction. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and campaign working. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brown Hollingsworth; three sons, Greg Hollingsworth, and Scott Hollingsworth and wife, Shelly, and Jerome Hollingsworth, all of Fayetteville; one daughter, Gail Rhodes of Elkins; three brothers, Bradley Hollingsworth and wife, Sherry, of Springdale, Mack Hollingsworth of Pettigrew, and Ralph Hollingsworth and wife, Linda, of Prairie Grove; six grandchildren, Amanda, James, Josh, Dylan, Gracie and Sophia; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Logan. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Beard's Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Ray Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
