Benjamin F. Khone Jr.

Benjamin F. Khone Jr., 80, of Rogers died Sept. 29, 2014. He was born on Jan. 13, 1934, in Rogers, Ark., to the late Benjamin F. Khone Sr. and Lillie (Roberts) Khone. He was married to his loving wife, Irvelene (Rich) Khone, for 45 years. Ben was a Korean War veteran and served with the Blue Angels during his career military service in the Navy. He retired as chief. After his retirement, he went to work for the city of Rogers as head of maintenance until the early 1990s. He owned M&K Bait Shop and put the first heated dock on Beaver Lake. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of Rogers; daughter, Krista Khone of Rogers. A funeral service will be Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Rollins Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. in the chapel.
