Delray David Brandt

Delray David Brandt passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at the age of 59 in Northwest Arkansas. Delray, son of Orville and Irene Brandt, was born on Aug. 1, 1955. He grew up on a farm near Ledyard, Iowa, and graduated from Ledyard High School in 1973. Delray spent many years farming in the Ledyard area before moving his family to Arkansas in 1994 where he owned a landscape business. Delray enjoyed fishing, hunting, music and, most of all, visiting with everyone he met. Delray loved his children like no other. In his final days, Delray was delighted to learn of the expected arrival of his first grandchild next April. Delray's memory will be cherished by his children: daughter, Sasha Hagle and husband, Patrick; son, Guhy Brandt; mother, Irene Brandt; sister, Deanna Brandt; brother, Dale Brandt and wife, Paula; as well as many extended family and friends. Delray was preceded in death by sister, Debra; and father, Orville. Memorial service will be held Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Bethany Evangelical and Reformed Church in Ledyard, Iowa; burial and luncheon to follow. Condolences may be sent to 3084 N.
