Mary Virginia Rice

Mary Virginia Rice, age 78, of Springdale went to meet the Lord on May 13, 2014, in Springdale. She was born July 6, 1935, at Junction 9, Garland County, Ark., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cockmon. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired production worker from Campbell Soup Company. She had also worked as a nurse at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. Mrs. Rice wrote songs, and enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts. She loved animals, and very much loved her family and friends. Mrs. Rice is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ferrial Rice of the home; two sons, Robert A. Northcutt and Michael W. Ferrell, both of Springdale; one daughter, Susie Hensley of Benton, Ark.; three grandchildren, Stephanie Dollar and her husband, Chris, Donald Hensley and his wife, Audrey, and Jared Hensley; and three great-grandchildren, Lillie Warford, Lela Warford and Piper Hensley. Funeral services will be Monday, May 19, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery.
