Kathleen May McElhaney McCoy

Kathleen May McElhaney McCoy of Fayetteville, formerly of Elkins, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was born May 26, 1922, in Thorney, Ark., and was the daughter of Millage Lee McElhaney and Laura Gaines McElhaney. She was a member of the Elkins Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy McCoy. Survivors include two nieces, Barbara Easley of Fayetteville and Myra Combs of Oracle, Ariz.; nephew, Glenn Short of Fayetteville; and numerous extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Beard's Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, with Chaplain Paul Woodhouse officiating.
