Gary Robert Doebele

Gary Robert Doebele, 80, of Rogers passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home. He was born March 24, 1934, in Hanover, Kan., to the late Arthur John and Josephine "Jo" Elizabeth Zumbahlen Doebele. Gary served the U.S. Army in Germany from 1954 to 1956 before attending Rockhurst College and retiring from the Veteran's Administration. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. For nearly 54 years, he was the loving husband of Hannah Doebele who survives; as do his children: a daughter, Laura McKibbon; a son, Daniel and his wife, Amy Doebele; grandchildren, Daisy, Destiney, Skyler and Jordan, and several great-grandchildren, all of Northwest Arkansas. He is also survived by family in Kansas. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph Parish, 747 Osage St., Leavenworth, KS 66048.
