Juanita McDonald

Juanita McDonald, (Granny Mac), age 84, of Springdale, died March 21, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Sept. 8, 1929, in Blue Mountain, Ark., the daughter of Brock and Julie Nunn. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, canning and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Garrie McDonald in 2000; her parents; eight brothers and sisters and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by three sons: Lee Garrie McDonald and his wife, Sharron, of Springdale; Cecil McDonald and his wife, Barbara, of Fayetteville; and Robert McDonald of Springdale; two daughters: Ruby Upton of Springdale and Anita Bates and her husband, Donald, of West Fork; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, July 24, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Wes. Hulvey and Rev. David Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, July 22, 2014, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
