Virginia Lea George, 86, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, in St. Louis, Mo. She was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Wellington, Kan., to Russell James and Virginia (Honey) Lea Goodman Clark. Virginia was a member of Cross Church in Springdale where she was involved in many activities. She was also active at the Jones Center for Families and she was involved with several committees at Butterfield. She was preceded in death by her first husband, W.C. Rogers Jr.; and her second husband, Gene George; one son, Michael D. Rogers. Survivors include two sons, David Rogers and wife, Donna, of Parrish, Fla., and Jerry Rogers and wife, Kelly Gill, of Springdale; daughter, Melissa Rogers and Eric Schmidt of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; two daughters-in-law, Robin Rogers of Springdale, Lana Rogers of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Chris Rogers, Hannah Kuzlo, Sam Rogers, Zachary Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Kelsey Rogers and Jessica Barge; seven great-grandchildren, Zane Rogers, Haley Rogers, Lucas Kuzlo, Madison Rogers, Maddox Rogers, Emma Barge and Hailie Barge. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Cross Church in Springdale, with The Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
