Duane Ronald Rembold

Duane Ronald Rembold, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 6, 2014, in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born on Nov. 26, 1930, in Scotland, S.D., to Edwin E. Rembold and Dorothy (Nelson) Rembold. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 – 1956. He served on the staff of the South Dakota Wing- Civil Air Patrol and retired in 1971, rank of Lt. Colonel. He commanded summer encampments at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, and Warren AFB, Wyoming. He was exchange officer with German Air Force summer of 1963. He was an educator and member of Silver Burdett's 5 million dollar club. He was stockholder and avid backer of Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his wife, Marlys E. Rembold of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sons, Michael Rembold of St. Louis, Mo., Scott Rembold of Coral Gables, Fla.; two daughters, Marlane Rembold of Seattle, Wash., Lisa Rembold of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., with Pastor Paul E. Hass officiating. Military honors will be by the Bella Vista Veterans Honors Guard. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
