Gregory Kem Hatfield

Gregory Kem Hatfield was born on March 1, 1958, in Gallup, N.M., to Vonceal and Jack Hatfield of Hennessey, Okla. Greg lived the last years of his life battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's) disease. He served as an avid spokesperson to bring awareness to this debilitating disease. Greg graduated from Hennessey High School in May 1976. He died in Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bella Vista, Ark., Monday, March 10, 2014. He is survived by two daughters, Rebekah Thomson and her husband, Kenny, of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, and Madeline Cann and her husband, Troy, of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada; and grandchildren, Jena Kalyn Thompson, James Harley Thompson, and Jeremiah Thomson and Adam Gregory Cann. He is also survived by his parents; and his brother and sisters, Jackie Radford of Crescent, Okla., Randy Hatfield of Karachi, Pakistan, Gwen Roberts of Denver, Colo., and Tresa Beard of Nashville, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Arkansas Chapter ALS Association. Send to Shannon Holley, President of the Board, 1200 W. Walnut St. #2309, Rogers, AR 72756.
