Sommay Chaisouang

Sommay Chaisouang, 74, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Mukdahan, Thailand, to Sang Chaisouang and Thoe Thongpouah. He was a farmer. He is survived two sons, Max Kongmany of Springdale, Ark., Ong Chaisouang of Jacksonville, Ark.; four daughters, Emily Saravane, Malissa Norsavanh, Taylor Selby, all of Springdale, Ark., Boupha Wills of Aiea, Hawaii; two sisters and two brothers in Thailand. Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale, with the Rev. Aaron Phangnivong officiating.
