John Logan Burrow, a longtime attorney in Fayetteville, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, at his home. John was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Ozark, Ark., to the late Sadler H. and Rose Coleman Burrow. He lived with his family for many years in Fort Smith. He graduated from Fort Smith Senior High School in 1964 and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas. John was active in the Democratic Party and in local politics. He served in a number of capacities, the last being a member of the Washington County Election Commission which he served as chairman. He also served as the Washington County Coroner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Burrow Edman. Survivors include one sister, Ann Coleman Wewers of Gainesville, Ga.; one brother, Robert Burrow of Dahlonega, Ga.; and three nieces and four nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. A graveside service will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Ark., at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank all who have called and expressed condolences. John loved Northwest Arkansas and the folks that made it a home for John for many years.
