Pamela Runnels, 71, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at her home. She was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Robert Young Sr. and Helen Gertude Williams Young. She volunteered at the Potter's House thrift store and taught Sunday school class at New Heights Church. She was a dance and exercise instructor for 20-plus years and real estate agent for about 15 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Young Sr.; mother, Helen Gertude Barta; and brother, Wallace Barta Jr. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of the home; four daughters, Shelley Duchesne and Tracey Duchesne, both of Fayetteville, Karey Lookadoo of Hot Springs, Ark., and Darla Runnels of Lufkin, Texas; son, Kevin Runnels of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Ophelia Duchesne, Lauren Preston, Jessica Hill, Zach Runnels and Meghan Runnels; great-granddaughter, Rylee Horvath; two brothers, Robert Young Jr. and Preston Wooten; sister, Jennifer Chandler; stepfather, Wallace Barta Sr.; and several other family members and friends. She has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, with Pastor Jim Hall officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to Potter's House, 2703 N.
