Calvin 'Jack' Jackson Jump Jr.

Calvin "Jack" Jackson Jump Jr., 75, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Circle of Life-Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on June 17, 1938, in Antigo, Wis., to Calvin Jackson Jump Sr. and Betty Jane Fox Jump. He was raised and educated in Texas. He served in U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam Conflict. "Jack" married Kay Chevalley on April 28, 1961, in Guthrie, Okla. He owned and operated The Walker Company, Medical Walkers, in Bella Vista. Upon retirement in 2002, he became a bus driver for the Bentonville School System and also served as a substitute school teacher. He was known for his mastery of storytelling. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kay Jump of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Terri Blatt of Dallas, Texas, Chris Thompson and her husband, Chris, of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Judy McGovern of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Austin Blatt, Eryn Blatt and Jordyn Blatt. A private family service will be held. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
