Enid Ellen Couch, 90, of Springdale died March 3, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center. She was born Jan. 2, 1924, in Asher, Ark., to Frank Marion and Mary Ellen Ledbetter Atha. She was retired from Baldwin Piano Company in 1986. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed quilting, painting and working puzzles. In her early years, she enjoyed singing alto in four-part harmony and was active with the choir at church. She especially enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Denver Paul Couch; one son, Hervie Couch; three brothers, Francis Atha, Lawrence Atha and Lewis Atha; four sisters, Pearl Smith, Sarah Atha, Clara Drain and Jewell Wilson. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Couch and wife, Dorlene, of Kansas City, Mo., Huey Couch and wife, Betty, of Springdale; two daughters, Barbara Greenlee and husband, Bill, of Springdale, and Sharon Collins and husband, Tommy, of Vinita, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Dina Couch of Springdale; and brother, Arnold Atha of Harmon, Ark.; 10 grandchildren, Denise Anderson, Brian Couch, Brent Couch, Doug Greenlee, Dana Fulfer, Johnny Couch, Kim Whedbee, April Robinson, Tommy Collins Jr. and Fran Harris; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Glynn Trusty officiating. Burial will follow at Pinnacle Cemetery in Madison County.
