Elaine Jo Ella Manildi

Elaine Jo Ella Manildi, 77, of Sulphur Springs passed away Feb. 28, 2014, at Concordia Nursing and Rehab in Bella Vista. She was born June 11, 1936, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Clarence O. and Edna Clark Hopkins. Elaine worked for Deluxe General in Burbank, Calif., and then became a wife and homemaker. She moved to Arkansas in 2000; she also enjoyed entertaining family and friends with a large spread of food, and of course, a game of cards. She was also a member of the Sulphur Springs Friendly Neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert F. Manildi of 36 years; one brother, Clarence R. (Bob, Butch) Hopkins; brother-in-law, Jesse James; and one niece, Sherry Gomez. Survived by her half-sister, Donna James of Bennett, Colo.; three sisters-in-law, Donna Hopkins of Lancaster, Calif., Corinne Thiebert of Idaho and Helen Hopkins Thomas of Witt Springs, Ark.; eight nieces, Regina Clara, Rebecca Caroline, Ramie Glaze, Theresa Hill, Shawnee Spencer, all of Colorado, Bonnie Zapata of New Mexico, Carol Murray (Jerry) of Sulphur Springs and Michela Oxford (Daniel) of Gravette; one nephew, William (Bill) Hopkins of Grove; many great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews. Memorial services will be noon Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers. Memorial contributions may be made to Butler Creek Cemetery Association.
