Theresa L. Schieber Parker Cassity "Terri" of Garfield, Ark., passed away on July 17, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. She was an amazing 72, whose age was never believed by many. Terri was a vibrant and active diabetic for 50 years, never slowed down in her pursuit of winning cards or finding special crafts throughout Northeastern Arkansas. She was born on Oct. 25, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo., to Louie and Maxine Schieber. She attended Central Missouri State followed by a career ending with Sprint where she retired after 17 years of service. Leaving Overland Park, Kan., after many years, Garfield, Ark., became her home immediately after retirement as she realized the beauty, peacefulness and future friends of such a place. Preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Paul L.; she is survived by her nephew, Christopher Schieber and wife, Jessica, and her newborn grandnephew of Lancaster, Pa.; and many cousins and friends. She always loved cats and then found Maggie, her black lab and friend forever. A celebration of her life will take place in Garfield, Ark., and Kansas City at a later date. In lieu of flowers, which she loved dearly, contributions should be made in memory to the American Diabetes Association (http://www.diabetes.org); or God's Pantry where Terri volunteered, 17938 Dennis Mitchell Road, Garfield, AR 72732.
