Suzy Hassell McKinney

Gloria Susan Hassell McKinney of Springdale went home to be with Jesus on July 15, 2014, in Springdale. She was born Nov. 11, 1951, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of the late Rev. Forrest William Hassell Sr. and the late Gloria Iris Wampler Hassell. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Springdale Apostolic Life Church. She had worked as a medical transcriber, and enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and watching Western movies. She was a loving Memee to her grandchildren. Suzy is survived by two daughters, Aimee Gremard and her husband, Jason, and Tina Kent, both of Springdale; two brothers, Forrest William (Bill) Hassell Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Springdale, and Mark Hatter and his wife, Judy, of Fort Smith; one sister, Becky Singles and her husband, Tom, of Springdale; two grandsons, Dallas Howell and Jakson Howell; and one granddaughter, Shyenne Gremard. There will be a home-going service on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, with Bro. John Hassell, Bro. Tom Singles and Pastor Clark Snow officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
