Viola R. Walker

Viola R. Walker, 79, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Sunday, July 13, 2014, in Northwest Medical Center, Springdale, Ark. Born July 29, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ark., she was the daughter of Marvin and Lydia (Coleman) Rankin. She lived most of her life in Northwest Arkansas and was married to Harold Richard Walker. Viola was owner and operator of Vi's Haircare and loved to play bridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, Ark. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty. Survivors include her husband, Harold Richard of the home; daughters, Brenda Bates of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Joyce Robertson and husband, Gary, of Springdale, Ark.; brother, Elvin Rankin of Gentry, Ark.; grandchildren, Todd Reynolds, David Lee Bates and Chuck Robertson; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Mike Walker officiating.
