Lonnie Dewayne Thomas, 49 years old, born Jan. 4, 1965, in Ozark, Ark., passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Siloam Springs, Ark. Lonnie was survived by the love of his life, his wife, Tammie Jarnagan Thomas of the home; two sons, his pride and joys, Josh Thomas of Charleston, S.C., and Jaylan Thomas of Ozark; four stepchildren, who he loved very much, Chris of Winslow, Shana of Fayetteville, Rob and Matt, both of West Fork; four grandchildren; parents, William Douglas and Mary Frances Thomas of Ozark, Ark.; two sisters, Frances Oelke of Alma and Sherry Bell of Little Rock; and his brother, Gerald Thomas of Ozark. Lonnie raced motocross for 30 years. He was an avid biker, hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors. Lonnie was an amazing husband, a loving father and a friend to all that knew him. He cherished his family. They were the light of his life. Lonnie was a genuine, compassionate and hardworking man. He always put others before himself. He made the world a better place for all of us. We were incredibly blessed to have him and he will be missed greatly. He was an employee of Source Gas and of the Baptist faith. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Ocker Chapel of Alma. Cremation will be under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
