Betty Carolyn Brown

Betty Carolyn Brown, 86, of Springdale was called home to be with her Lord, Jan. 12, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born June 9, 1927, at Paragould, Ark., to Homer H. and Leah Elza Waters Smith. She was a retired apartment manager. She was a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Brown; son, Bob Brown; and three brothers. She is survived by one son, William (Bill) Brown and wife, Lorene, of Springdale; three daughters, Carolyn Lewis and husband, Jim, of Franklin, Tenn., Linda Golden and husband, Billy, of Lawton, Okla., and Patricia Bell of Summerville, S.C.; two brothers, Jerry Smith and wife, Barbara, of Granite City, Ill., Dub Dawson and wife, Glenda, of Paragould, Ark.; sister-in-law, Pearl Bellah and husband, Wade; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Jason Scott officiating.
