Phillip Roger Kesner of Greenland, Ark., passed away at Willard Walker Hospice Home from complications of diabetes on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. He was born July 19, 1953, in Springdale, Ark., to James Allen and Masie Rogers Kesner. He graduated from Springdale High School in 1971. He was employed in route sales for several years with Guys Foods and retired from Flowers Baking Company in December 2009 after 23 years of service. Phil was a very loyal, generous and kind husband, father and grandfather. And, he was a friend to all that knew him. He leaves behind many cherished memories of his quick wit and humor. He will be reunited in heaven with his parents and his father- and mother-in-law. And, we are sure he has already begun to aggravate Barbara and provide a lot of laughs to every angel that he has met. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Deanna Caudle Kesner, to whom he was married on July 19, 1985; a son, Anson Roger and his wife, Katrina, of Springdale; his daughter, Shawnn Lyn Renfrow and her husband, Jason, of Springdale; three brothers, Jim and his wife, Julie of Bella Vista, John and his wife, Janet, and Larry and his wife, Brenda, all of Springdale; two granddaughters, McKenna Renfrow and Lexi Carter; and one grandson, Gavin Kesner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Visitation will be held 6–8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel with burial immediately following at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to Nurse Kathey and CNA Shirley at Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as all the nurses and support staff at Willard Walker Hospice Home for their compassion and loving care they provided to Phil during his stay at their facilities. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phillip's name to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview St., Fayetteville, AR 72703.
