Lonnie Everett Smith

Lonnie Everett Smith, 69, of Huntsville, Ark., died Feb. 20, 2014, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born May 10, 1944 at Purdy, Ark., the son of Arval Loy and Mildred Joyce Davis Smith. He was president of Wharton Creek Wood Products and attended the New Life Tabernacle in Fayetteville, Ark. Survivors include: his wife, Joetta Sue McCoy Smith of the home whom he married on Aug. 1, 1964; one daughter and son-in-law, Lonetta and Brad Willis of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Marty "Casey" Smith of Farmington, Ark., Boyd Smith of Lowell, Ark. and Loyd Smith of Huntsville, Ark.; four sisters, Pearl Vasquez of Marble, Ark., Wilma Reynolds and Glenda Willis, both of Huntsville, Ark., and Ruth Morin of Springdale, Ark.; three grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Brad Willis Jr. and Derrick and Malinda Willis, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and Zachary Willis with the U.S. Air Force at Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany and one great-grandson, Charlie of Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverends John Martin and Rick Cope officiating. Interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be: Larry Branstetter, Skyler Cruz, Kenny Parker, Jerry Whittmore, Tate Huff and Jason Yates. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jimmy Miller, James McElhaney, Gary Reynolds, Terry Ward, Chad Brown, Robert Smith, Raymond Lutz, Tim Taylor, Chris Grana, Daniel Smith and Colin Williams. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Brashears.
