Burley Van Buren Jackson Jr., 84, of Huntsville, Ark., died Jan. 29, 2014, at North Arkansas Medical Center at Harrison, Ark. He was born Oct. 17, 1929, Japton, Ark., the son of Burley Van Buren Jackson Sr. and Laura Ella Pennington Jackson. He was an electrical contractor and a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Steven Jackson. Survivors include his wife whom he married on Dec. 11, 1971, Sharon Sparks Jackson of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jin Robinson of Bentonville, Ark.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Candy Jackson of LaQuinta, Calif., Latisha and Kevin Pinkston of Huntsville, Ark., and Tonya and Ike Mills of Fayetteville; one brother, Tom Jackson of Huntsville, Ark.; two sisters, Ila Napier of Fayetteville, Ark., and Shirley Nielson of Elkins, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Catrina and husband, Greg, Summer, Jimmy, Ben, Rana, Cody, Sonja, Kaylynn, Chelsea, Hannah and Silvia; five great-grandchildren, Jakob, Brandon, Aaliyah, Lily and Bruce; and many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with Elder John Napier officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, at Huntsville. Pallbearers will be Richard Robinson, Cody Robinson, Ben Jackson, Ike Mills, Kevin Pinkston and Daniel Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be David Jackson, Scott Ramer, James Moore, Clarissa Ramer and Elmer Moore.
