William Dow Chambers Jr.

William Dow Chambers Jr. was born July 30, 1939 in Clarksville, Ark. Bill passed away Dec. 25, 2014 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his father, William Dow Chambers, and his mother, Martha Montgomery Chambers. He graduated from the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Bill served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Japan when the USS Pueblo was seized in 1969. After he retired from Reynolds Medals Company, he started his own business in Moses Lake, Wash. He recently sold the business to spend more time doing what he loves, traveling the states in his RV and stopping at all the historical markers. Bill is survived by his sister, Ginger Scamardo; two daughters, Sonja Hancock and Carla Chambers and two grandchildren, Jason Hancock and Bianca Hancock. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Ark. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville.
