William Rex Holman

William Rex Holman, 63, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Bill was born on March 31, 1951, in Springdale, Ark., to Rex Lee Holman and Effie Elma (Litton) Holman. He was united in marriage to Della Faye Smith in Springdale on Nov. 26, 1981, and she preceded him death on Feb. 14, 2003. Bill was raised in Springdale he resided in Nevada, Mo., most of his adult life. Bill owned his own truck and made a living as an over the road trucker most of his life. He was employed by SMX Trucking for a number of years, also having worked for George's Trucking in Springdale prior to moving to Nevada. Survivors include one son, Rex Holman, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one daughter, Viola Holman, Nev.; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy Holman, Lowell, Ark., Roy Wilburn, Bella Vista, Ark., and Darrell Ferriel, Gravette, Ark.; one sister, Lois Day, Elm Springs, Ark.; one daughter-in-law, Jaime Smith, Nevada. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2014, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
