Robert D Collins

Robert Dewey Collins age 93 a longtime resident of Lincoln, Ark., passed from this life on Dec.19, 2014, in the Heroes Haven Unit of the Fayetteville Veterans Hospital. Robert was a veteran of World War II, serving in Europe from October 1944 through March 1946. He was born on Oct. 14, 1921, to Pete & Elizabeth Collins. "Rob" as he was called by friends and family was a farmer and raised broilers for Tyson Foods for many years. He also was the carpenter on the five homes he built through the years he shared with his beloved wife Frances. Rob also found some time in later years to work at Apple Town in Lincoln, which gave him much joy. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Elizabeth Collins; a sister, Dorothy Risley; brothers, Edgar Collins, Roy Collins, and Walter Rich; son-in-law, Jesse Yother, great-granddaughter, Jennifer Enis, and his beloved wife of 70 years Frances, who he lost in 2010. He is survived by his two daughters, Anna Yother of Muskogee, Okla., Linda Brumfield and husband Roger of Montesano, Wash. Four grandchildren, Robert Yother and wife Pam of Wilburton, Okla., Debra Enis and husband Steve of Vinita, Okla., Tammy Granberg and husband Alan of Tacoma, Wash., Terri Besaw and husband Kyle of Montesano, Wash. Eight great-grandchildren, Amy Watkins and husband Brad and Bryan Yother, all of Elk City, Okla., Tiffany Thompson of Muskogee, Okla., Vickie Adams and husband Nate of Richardson, Texas, Sierra and Lincoln Granberg of Tacoma, Wash., Hailey Toyra and husband Kyle of Olympia, Wash., and Madison Besaw of Montesano, Wash. Three great-great-grandchildren, Jenna, Jack, and Jacey Watkins of Elk City, Okla. Plus many nieces and nephews, and church family he loved so much. Visitation with family will be Monday, Dec. 22 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service on Tuesday, Dec. 23 - 11 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel.
