Lucille M. Smith

Lucille M. Smith, 98, of Springdale went to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, in Springdale. She was born July 13, 1916, in Shattuck, Okla., the daughter of William E. Wingert and Iona Martin Wingert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; son, Hugh; two brothers; and one sister. Lucille was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fayetteville and was a past member of the Rebecca Lodge, and also enjoyed oil painting. Survivors include three sons, Wesley Smith and wife, Martha, Keith Smith, Paul and wife, Doris; and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Smith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
