David Lloyd Grigg, age 63, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Aug. 13, 2014, at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. He was born May 26, 1951, in Springdale, Ark., a son of Ottie Samual Grigg and Tina Rachel Elen Rogers Grigg. He owned and operated Grigg Concrete and enjoyed race car driving. At age 44, David started racing the #44 Grigg Racing open wheel modified racecar. David received the prestigious track championship award in 2003 at Thunder Valley Speedway in Fayetteville. He continued his passion of racing for 12 years. David won several feature races and gained many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Grigg and Tommy Grigg; two sisters, Juanita Hathorn and Wanda Morris. David is survived by his wife, Kelly Grigg of the home; sons, Mark Grigg of Branson, Mo., and Kaden Jacob Chase of the home; daughters, Jacque Lane of Branson, Mo., and Brandy Tackett of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, Raymond Grigg and wife Damita of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Helen Lyons of Springdale, Ark., and Verma Whitten of California; four grandchildren, Brent Grigg, Dillan Grigg, Tabethia "Tabby" Bratton and Ashton Tackett; several nieces and nephews.
