Everett Wells

Everett Wells, 85, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Centerton, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at a hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Canada the son of Levi Wells. He attended deaf school in California. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to BBQ and do mime-dressed as a clown, also loved to work with children. He and his wife volunteered as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. At church he was known as "Mr. Friendly" and always had a smile for everyone. He moved to Pea Ridge after moving from California to care for his father. He spent the last several years in Centerton, Ark., prior to moving to Ohio to the Columbus Colony Elderly Care, a local deaf community. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marveen Wells; and one brother. He is survived by his adopted family "The Isabells," his church family, many friends from the deaf community. Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 950 Seba Road, in Centerton from 1 p.m. until service time. Funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in Centerton.
