Sandra Thomas

Sandra Nurnet Thomas, 63, of Elkins died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born April 7, 1951, in the Haiti, Mo., the daughter of Vera and Leslie Newton. She enjoyed reading, watching TV and all Dallas sports. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Allen Thomas; her parents; one brother; and one sister. She is survived by one son, Jordan Thomas of Bentonville; one daughter, Marsha Mix and her fiance, Michael McBride, of Elkins; one brother, Richard Newton of Texas; two grandchildren, Brendan Leslie Mix of Huntsville, Noah Daline Mix of Elkins; and many family members and friends. A memorial fund has been set up for the family at Arvest Bank as Marsha Mix, in lieu of Sandra Thomas. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
