Floyd D. "Jack" Krodell Jr., age 80, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014. He was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, to Floyd D. Krodell Sr. and Opal Burgess Mills Oxford. He graduated from Kermit Texas High School and the University of North Texas. He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, a veteran of the U.S. Army, manager of General Adjustment Bureau in Little Rock, serving for 35 years, a charter member of Singing Men of Arkansas and a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Krodell; his daughter, Kathryn Krodell of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Chris Krodell and his wife, Jennifer, of Elkins, Ark., John Krodell and his wife, Natalie, of Fayetteville, Ark.; four granddaughters, Katie Christian and her husband, Curtis, of Wake Forest, N.C., Keely Hatfield and her husband, Greg, of Mills Valley, Calif., Karly Krodell of Elkins, Ark., Holli Krodell of Fayetteville, Ark.; and one great-grandson, Clay Christian of Wake Forest, N.C. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at the family home. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
