Charles Melvin Davis

Charles Melvin Davis, age 78, of Lowell went to meet the Lord April 6, 2014, in Lowell. He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Purdy, Ark., the son of Melvin and Sylvia Reynolds Davis. He was a retired equipment installer in the poultry industry and had served in the National Guard. He enjoyed working on his farm, spending time with his family, visiting with friends and telling stories. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Dawna McIntire Davis of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Davis and Ronda of Lowell; one brother, Rex Davis of Springdale; five sisters, Frankie Morgan of Tulsa, Okla., Darlena Shaver and Mary Cortor, both of Springdale, Ark., Wanda Anderson of Mt. View, Ark., and Melva Loper of Gravette, Ark.; and three grandchildren, Alexandra Jewell, Duston Davis and Quinton Davis. Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Spring Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Billy Burks officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
