William "Bill" Trotter, 76, died Sept. 26, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was born on Sept. 18, 1937, in Rogers, Ark., to the late Euel and Emma (Chipeau) Trotter. He was the loving husband of 51 years to Dixie (Welch) Trotter. He was a lifetime resident of the area, Army veteran and member of the VFW Post 3031 in Avoca. He was owner and broker of Three Corners Reality for 30 years in Gateway. He was a past master of Pea Ridge Lodge 119 and past president of the Northwest Arkansas Shrine Chub. He was also the first president of the Nomad Shrine Club and co-founder of the Northwest Arkansas Shrine Clown Unit. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, visits from his many friends and barbecuing for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Grace Caldwell, Rosalee Roughten and Jean Thomas; and brother, Joseph Barton. He is survived by his wife of Pea Ridge; son, Bill Trotter and his wife, Polly, of Rogers, Tim Trotter and his wife, Donna Andrews, of Seligman; daughter, Melissa Gilbertson and her husband, Lance, of Pea Ridge; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. A memorial service will be Oct. 1, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Military honors will be conducted. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
