Andrew Kilgore

Andrew Kilgore, 82, of Springdale, passed from this life on Sept. 13, 2013. He was born on June 26, 1931, in McCurtain, Okla., to Jefferson and Evie Kilgore. Andrew was married to Virginia Baxter on July 19, 1952 in Van Buren, Ark.; they were married 61 years. Andrew worked on farms in California until he was called into the ministry. He and Virginia pastored Assemblies of God churches in California. Later they returned to Arkansas where he preached in local churches and worked as a custodian for the Springdale Schools. Andrew will always be remembered as a hard worker and a man who was devoted to his family. Andrew is preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; and son-in-law, Jerry Mitchell. Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; two daughters, Vicki Mitchell and Sheryl Smithpeters and her husband, Ralph; a sister, Anna Mae Rogers; four grandchildren, Kimberly Kinard and her husband Danny, Brian Smithpeters and his wife Jamie, Jarred Mitchell and his wife Jennifer, and Karri Krogman and her husband Daniel; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Elm Springs Cemetery.
