Ronald Lee 'Ron' Lape

Ronald Lee "Ron" Lape, 69, of the Patrick Community, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Larchwood, Iowa, to Timothy and Viola Perkinson Lape. Ron served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He lived in Valley Springs, S.D., and California before moving to Patrick 30 years ago. He enjoyed time with family, Volkswagens, 4-wheeling and living in Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie (Savage) Lape in 2008, his parents, and sister-in-law, Kathy Lape. He is survived by a son, Heath Lape, of Bella Vista; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Lape of Centerton; four brothers, Larry Lape of Valley Springs, S.D., Jack Lape and Karen of Sioux Falls, S.D., Kenny Lape and wife Patty of Delaney, Denny Lape and wife Val of Valley Springs, S.D.; a sister, Donna Marshall and husband Ron of Grandview, Neb.; and two grandchildren, Levi and Talon Lape. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Moss Glenn Pavilion in Patrick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E.
