Lawrence A. Lundholm

Lawrence "Larry" A. Lundholm left this world on June 18, 2013, after moving into the late stages of vascular dementia with Lewy Bodies Disease. Lawrence was born on a farm between Chetek and Barron, Wis., on May 18, 1920, to Arvid and Lillian (Johnson) Lundholm. On Feb 7, 1942, he married Fern Homer of Barron, Wis. In WWII he was with the Army Air Corps as a single engine pilot and flight and gunnery Instructor. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a lieutenant colonel. Larry was employed by Midland Cooperatives in Wisconsin as a manager. Larry always enjoyed skiing, ski jumping, bowling, golfing, walking, and engaged in conversation with friends and family. Larry and Fern moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1987 where he enjoyed multiple golf leagues, the Optimist Club, Military Officers Association, Wisconsin Club and the American Legion. Lawrence was preceded in death by his son, Larry; and two brothers. Lawrence is survived by his devoted wife, Fern; his daughters, Gloria Lundholm, Cheryl Lundholm and Sharon Lundholm-O'Sullivan; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews. There was a small family viewing and funeral in Bella Vista, Ark., just after his death. There will be a large funeral at Burnham's with a graveside ceremony in Chetek, Wis., on July 20.
