Veta Marie Long

Veta Marie Long, 88, of Rogers, formerly of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Rogers. She was born July 10, 1924, in Ozark, Ark., to the late James and Mary Edith Pippen Thomas. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Home Extension Club. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Smith Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Cemetery Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Ark. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Mary Clardy of Avoca, Ark., Nina Lynch and husband, Allen, of Rogers, Ark.; two sons, Larry Long of Rogers, Ron Long of Springdale; two sisters, Jenelle Rice of Fort Smith, Bonnie Thomas of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
