Robert Charles Brandt

Robert Charles Brandt, age 91, of Bella Vista died July 14, 2013, at Jamestown Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rogers. He was born in Cambridge, Neb., on Feb. 7, 1922, to the late Charles and Theresa (O'Brien) Brandt. Robert was a devoted husband and father. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany during WWII. He was also a pioneer of organic gardening. Bob, as he was known to many, and his wife, Nina, were members of St. Bernard Catholic Church. They were also avid square-dancers and members of the Kingsdale Squares. Survivors include his children, Joan Dempcy and husband, Bruce, of Sterling, Colo., Mike Brandt and wife, Mary, of Morristown, Vt., Paul Brandt and wife, Dore, of Loveland, Colo., Linda Sue Goosen and husband, Carl, of Little Rock, Dennis Brandt and wife, Cherry, of Gravette, Mary Ann Brandt-Stoll and husband, Chris, of Terrell, Texas; a sister, Doris Kuhlman of Colorado; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nina Ruth Brandt; and a brother, Maurice Brandt. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the St. Bernard Columbarium. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
