Herbert 'Hoover' McCoy

Herbert "Hoover" McCoy, 84, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Feb. 18, 1929, in Center Ridge, Ark., to William Riley McCoy and Gladys (White) McCoy. He was a retired restaurant owner, retired supervisor for Lindsey Management Golf Division and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by one son, Rickey McCoy and wife, Karen of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter, Shirley Wood of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Fay Hill of Center Ridge, Ark.; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Center Ridge, Ark., with the Rev. Bill Brown officiating.
