Arthena Elizabeth Barnes

Arthena (Elizabeth) Barnes, 92, of Springdale died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Nov. 11, 1920, near Picher, Okla., to Elmer and Bertie Winfiel Agee. She was a homemaker, income tax consultant and past president of Friendly Neighbors Extension Club. She loved to paint and won several ribbons at the Washington County Fair. She was a cashier at the Sunset Cafe and Airport Cafe in Springdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Barnes; one son, Larry Barnes; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Hinds. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Hinds and husband, Johnny, of Lowell and Lisa Turner and husband, Dannie, of Springdale; five grandsons; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
