Georgia Lucille 'Granny' Archer

Georgia Lucille "Granny" Archer, 104, of Springdale died Dec. 30, 2013, at Walnut Grove Health & Rehab in Springdale. She was born Oct. 1, 1909, in Garden City, Texas, to Robert P. and Maggie Black Joyner. She was a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist church. Georgia cared for many children over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Archer; one daughter, Juanita Archer; one brother, Robert Joyner; and one sister, Laura Lynch. She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Grigg and husband, Gene, and Betty Teague and husband, Jarvis, both of Springdale; two brothers, Gilbert Joyner and Harry Joyner of Springdale; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Morriss Cemetery.
