Ella Frances Byrd

Ella Frances Byrd, 93, of Springdale died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at her home. She was born March 18, 1920, in Denning, Ark., to John and Iva Canady. She was a resident of Washington County most of her life. She graduated from Holy Redeemer High School in 1938. She was a homemaker and co-owner/manager with her husband of Jackson's Loading Supplies. She was a member of Pleasant Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jackson Glen Byrd. Survivors include her cousins, Ann and Bob Riddles of Fayetteville, Don and June Huddleston of Madill, Okla., Howard and Helen Armstrong of Fort Smith, and Carolina Gary of McAlester, Okla.; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with Larry Branum officiating. A private graveside at the National Cemetery will be held later. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
