Stephen L. Plant

Stephen L. Plant, 65, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Thomas Plant and Dorothy Edith (Caughman) Plant. He was a University of Arkansas alumni where he earned his B.S.B.A. in marketing, the chief executive officer for Sign Co, a former veteran's service officer at the University of Arkansas, a member of the American Legion and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Pearson and husband, Bruce, of Springdale, Ark.; his partner, Polly Parnell; stepdaughter, Kristen Davidson and husband, Ronnie, of Fayetteville, Ark.; stepson, Shane Parnell and wife, Malia, of Columbia, Mo.; three brothers, Max Plant and wife, Anna, of Lowell, Ark., Jon Plant and wife, Sunny, of Tuckaway, Tenn., Donald Plant of Flint Creek, Okla.; two sisters, Sue Dudley and husband, Jerry, of Fayetteville, Ark., Gina Odem of Fort Smith, Ark.; and seven grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, with Dr. H.D. McCarty officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion.
