Dorothy Ann Sinise

Dorothy Ann Sinise, 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at her home. She was born on May 25, 1927, in Amarillo, Texas, to Homer and Nina (Hawkins) Jacob. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; and one daughter, Jerri Lynn. Dorothy graduated from West Texas State University in May 1959. She thought of herself as a chemist, and taught chemistry at both the high school and college level during her career. She and her husband retired to the Northwest Arkansas area in 1989. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross for many years, assisting in disaster relief work throughout the United States. She enjoyed china painting, quilting, genealogy and singing in the church choir. She was also a member of DAR. She is survived by one son, Martin Sinise and his wife, Laura, of Garland, Texas; two daughters, Cindy Brewer and her husband, Doug, of Wimberley, Texas, and Paula Sinise of Bella Vista, Ark.; one brother, Billy Jack Jacob and his wife, Grady Ann, of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Nedra Jo Waldrop of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
